Have you ever booked a vacation, hoping to unwind, de-stress and relax but when you return you feel like you never left? Or perhaps, you felt like you needed to take a vacation from your vacation? Though we can’t always control how many weeks of vacation we get or the situations we will return to (ie. stress of work, family, relationships, responsibilities, obligations, time, etc.) we can vacation differently. We all want lasting effects from our vacation so we can return feeling revitalized and rejuvenated.  Isn’t that the point of taking time off after all? Instead of just pressing pause and jumping back into our packed vacation schedules o returning to the crammed schedules of life, let’s take a lasting vacation for our body, mind and spirit.

This therapeutic Health & Wellness Retreat focuses on your holistic wellbeing from a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach while enjoying all of the luxuries of an all-inclusive vacation. Unlike many other wellness retreats, our retreat is the ONLY retreat that has a team of fully licensed, registered professionals - which means you get gold standard clinical attention and skills wrapped up in the comfort of a cozy holiday. We offer self-development sessions, psychoeducational workshops, massage, yoga, meditation, and ecotherapy rendered by registered professionals including a Registered Social Worker, Registered Clinical Counsellor, Registered Massage Therapist, and certified yoga instructor. The quality of these treatments are up to college and association standards which means you can submit these receipts for a potential reimbursement of up to $370 from your extended health insurance provider. In addition, we have a certified Yoga and Meditation instructor who caters to all bodies and levels. We take vacationing seriously and want you to know that you are in great hands and minds so you can feel comfortable leave the planning and thinking to us.  In addition to our clinical and therapeutic team, we ensure our comfortable accommodation and healthy, chef-created meals and snacks come together to create the ultimate venue for our all-inclusive retreat.

This retreat is best suited for women who are in need of some me-time and real, lasting relaxation.  No more time should be spent going through the motions or feeling drained by everyday life. It’s time to thrive and get back (mentally and physically) to the things you love in life.

Our retreat is focused on supporting our guests to find holistic balance and meaning to live a life of their dreams or re-energize to return to it. At this therapeutic retreat, we will work to address and reduce the impact of daily life stress from a mix of work, responsibilities, obligations, relationships, friendships, family, parenting, or mild to moderate anxiety and depression issues.  We want you to return feeling renewed, revitalized and reconnected to your life and loved ones.

Are you ready to (re)discover or reconnect with what/who actually matters?

In many cultures, counselling is not understood. The idea of it can be daunting as there are many unknowns to be explored, especially with someone who you barely know. It is an essential part of my practice to build rapport with my clients to ensure that there is an empathetic relationship established to help you work on your therapeutic goals.

I believe that you have resilience, which in essence means to recover from difficult experiences. It may not be an easy task to take part in but it is possible. Change can be scary but together, we can begin to notice that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Registered Massage Therapist

Stephanie Gillespie

Stephanie is a graduate from West Coast College of Massage Therapy, out of New Westminster. In her two years there, she volunteered at many different outreaches to provide therapeutic massage therapy for people with many different conditions: depression, anxiety, musculoskeletal injuries, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Pregnancy, just to name a few.

Being able to help people of all ages become more aware of their body, strength and overall wellness was what originally kicked off her idea to become an RMT and she hopes to keep up both careers equally.

She loves to teach indoor cycling classes and even enjoys her own personal workouts on the bike whenever possible.

REVIEWS
"Thoroughly enjoyed the recent Women's Wellness Retreat hosted at Loon Lake, Maple Ridge. The daily agenda was flexible and optional with enough variety to offer something of interest for everyone. What a great investment in self care and exploration."
"I attended the inaugural women’s retreat Angie hosted in Maple Ridge. It was FANTASTIC! Just what I needed. The resort was beautiful, food was good, there were lots of snacks and drinks and the agenda was flexible and well thought out. The body image workshop paired with my counselling session broke down a number of barriers I have been struggling with over the last few months. I am involved with a growing retreat centre in the North and plan to invite Angie up as a guest speaker."

PLEASE NOTE:

Angie is currently not accepting new clients at this time.
