Traditional Counselling

Sometimes it can be relieving to look forward to an entire session (50 or 90 minutes) of uninterrupted time, to just dedicate to your own needs and have someone truly hear you and be there for you – with no need to provide support back. Individual sessions are held in the office in Fort Langley. The initial session is to help us better understand what life has been looking like for you and areas where you would like to improve, change or receive more support around. Since you are the expert of you and know yourself better than I know you, I may ask several questions to get a better idea of what is going on or we may have more of an informal conversation depending on your style and comfort. We will talk about what matters to you, at your pace. We may decide to set goals and homework/challenges, led by you, if you prefer a more directed approach. Or perhaps we will explore new perspectives, create meaning and a better understanding of who you are or want to be.

Virtual Counselling

If coming to an office will not work for your schedule or perhaps you are out of town, Reflections Therapy wants to meet you where you are at (mentally and physically), even if that’s in the comfort of your own home. To do this, I offer virtual services online and by phone. We would set a date and time that works for you to have a session using technology to better fit your needs and schedule. I would ensure your confidentiality by ensuring I am in a private location where no one can overhear or see our virtual communication. We would explore your wishes and goals around therapy and work together so you reach your desired potential and life goals. This method is perfect for people with very tight or busy schedules, people who would prefer to do therapy in their own home or perhaps while travelling. This service may also be desirable on busy days that you cannot attend your typical in-person sessions due to commute but do not want to lose your momentum between sessions.
